CSPC II Shuts PP and HDPE Plants for Production Switch

CNOOC and Shell petrochemical company has shut part of polyolefins production in the second phase in Huizhou on Jun 13, in preparation of a production switch.

CSPC II has suspended its 400kt/year PP plant and 400kt/year HDPE plant for a short turnaround, which would be finished by the end of the week. The PP plant has been running at 80% for injection-grade HP500N-Z, and would be switched to produce PP HP550J afterwards. The HDPE plant has been running at 70% for HDPE injection T60-800, and the new production is not yet confirmed.
