BP selects KBR as contractor for hydrogen energy project
BP announced today that it has selected KBR as the main integrated project management contractor for its global portfolio of hydrogen projects.
In its statement, KBR said the scope of the contract with BP includes co-contribution to the front-end, optimization and execution of the project phases, as well as management support through the construction, commissioning and start-up of BP's global hydrogen projects. KBR also said the contract would be activated at any time under the existing global agreement with BP.
BP said that by 2030, BP's goal is to produce 500,000 to 700,000 tons of green hydrogen per year, while selectively tapping the development potential of blue hydrogen.
