Dupont world premiere Tedlar transparent front panel film debuts SNEC 2023
Dupont (NYSE: DD) will launch the world's first Tedlar® transparent front panel film (booth #W4-555) to provide the perfect protection for lightweight photovoltaic modules at the 2023 International Solar PV & Smart Energy Exhibition, May 24-26 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
"We are proud to introduce this transparent front panel film to our current and potential partners in the PV industry at SNEC," said Raymond Peng, Global President of dupont Tedlar®. In particular, he noted that: "The main challenge for lightweight PV modules is to replace the glass front plate while maintaining mechanical stability and weather resistance. Dupont ™ Tedlar® films have the perfect balance between durability, UV resistance, high light transmittance, long-term UV barrier, wear resistance, chemical resistance and excellent bonding. We look forward to this innovative material to provide customers with an ideal solution for lightweight photovoltaic module front panel materials."
In practice, the problem of the weight of PV modules is a significant challenge. For example, many commercial buildings and ancillary structures have little or no designed backup structural support; Body weight is directly related to fuel efficiency and range. Lightweight modules can meet the weight challenge by reducing weight, enabling low-cost installation or modification of photovoltaic modules to meet the needs of parking sheds, integrated photovoltaic building (BIPV) and integrated photovoltaic vehicle (VIPV) applications. At the exhibition, dupont focused on the practical application scenarios of BIPV, which is constructed by Tedlar® transparent front panels and the roofing and walling of buildings using coated and coated metal, and introduced this innovative solution to customers.
In addition, dupont will use this industry event to promote the energy storage system battery pack thermal management solutions to customers. Dupont technical experts will also deliver a keynote speech at the "Crystalline Silicon PV Modules and Quality Assurance" session on the morning of May 25, and share the uniqueness of dupont ™ Tedlar® front panel materials and conduct empirical research to show the long-term reliability of the product.
