PRAD decorates Diptyque’s new Seoul city candle

This year, Seoul officially joined the colection of 10 other cities arround the world to which the Parisian perfume house pay tribute in the form of a scented candle.

As for the other candles in the Scented Cities collection, PRAD decorated them in its studio located in the Drôme region of France. The company's stuff have achieved matte spray painting and contour screen printing with metal effects.

The graphic design inspiration for Seoul candles comes from the architecture, lighting rhythm, and charming atmosphere of the hibiscus blooming in the South Korean capital. The notes of hibiscus flowers, Jasminum sambac flowers and incense constitute "this is an invitation for a night stroll in downtown Seoul."

The company stated in a statement that: "PRAD's team is proud of its continued collaboration with Diptyque, providing decoration for this unique collection to recognize outstanding cities.”

PRAD is an independent French company specializing in the decoration of recyclable glass and aluminum containers. The technologies used include liquid metallization, painting, laser surface treatment, screen printing, pad printing, and hot stamping. When combined or used alone, it can achieve a wide range of renderings, color tones, color and material effects, as well as extremely high pattern accuracy.

PRAD was established 50 years ago and has been led by CEO and owner Bruno Pierre since 2016. The company is located in La Roche-de-Glun, one hour south of Lyon, France, and provides services to Chanel, Coach, Lalique, Parfums de Marly, and many other well-known brands.

In 2022, the company was rated gold by Ecovadis.
