Axalta Jilin Coating Factory Officially Put into Operation
Axalta Coating Systems announced that the factory it invested in Jilin City, Jilin Province was officially put into production, and a groundbreaking ceremony was held on the morning of October 24. The completion and commissioning of the Jilin project is another important milestone in Axalta's development in China, helping Axalta improve its production capacity to better meet the growing needs of China's transportation market.
Axalta's Jilin factory is located in the National Economic and Technological Development Zone of Jilin City, covering an area of nearly 46,000 square meters. It is equipped with an advanced coating production system and mainly produces high-performance coatings such as water-based intermediate coatings, pigmented paints, solvent-based intermediate coatings, and varnishes, serving domestic and foreign automobile OEMs and auto parts manufacturers, which will further optimize Axalta’s service capabilities in China’s transportation market and boost the growth of its transportation business.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Hadi Awada, a member of Axalta’s Global Senior Management Committee, said: “Currently, emerging trends such as new energy vehicles and autonomous driving are driving the transformation and high-quality development of the transportation industry. Axalta’s Jilin plant is committed to providing customers with high-performance innovative automotive coating solutions. As Axalta’s new growth 'engine', the new plant will help us optimize our business development and development in the Chinese market continue to meet fast and efficient market demands, empower customers to meet industry challenges, and jointly create higher industrial value."
