Grupo Boticário’s VC arm backs skin care try-on tool maker Haut.AI, The $2 million in seed funding from the Brazilian group and LongeVC will help expand and scale personalisation software and AI for skin analysis
Haut.AI gained prominence through its innovative skin care try-on tool, SkinGPT, which made its debut in May of this year. The recent injection of funds is earmarked to bolster Haut.AI's efforts in expanding and scaling its e-commerce skin care personalization software. The company will focus its research and development on advancing generative artificial intelligence (AI) for skin analysis.
Garri Zmudze, Managing Partner at LongeVC, expressed confidence in Haut.AI's technology, stating, "Haut.AI’s cutting-edge tech will underpin the next generation of skin health, from early detection to diagnostics to personalized care." LongeVC specializes in seed and early-stage investments in biotech and longevity startups.
Anastasia Georgievskaya, co-founder and CEO of Haut.AI, highlighted the transformative nature of their technology, turning a simple selfie into a high-touchpoint experience for online businesses. The process involves a potent diagnostic tool coupled with a curated product discovery journey. Georgievskaya envisions a future where skin care transcends guesswork, with brands comprehending the uniqueness of online customers and delivering data-driven experiences that mutually benefit both brands and consumers.
The foundation of Haut.AI's AI lies in a robust skin imaging dataset featuring over 150 biomarkers, 3 million images, and an impressive 1 billion data points. Notably, Haut.AI has secured partnerships with beauty retail giants Beiersdorf and Ulta Beauty, reinforcing its standing in the industry.
As the beauty and skincare landscape continues to evolve, Haut.AI stands at the forefront of innovation, poised to redefine the online shopping experience by providing precise, data-driven insights into personalized skin care. With Grupo Boticário's venture capital arm and LongeVC's support, Haut.AI is well-positioned to shape the future of skin health and customer-centric online beauty experiences.
