LANXESS Announces Personnel Changes in Four Major Business Units!
On January 8, German specialty chemicals manufacturer Lanxess announced that it was adjusting management positions in four of its top ten businesses. The aim is to provide additional impetus to the Consumer Protection segment of the business while more development opportunities will be given to experienced management talents to maximize their value.
Changes
This personnel adjustment will officially take effect on February 1.
Michael Schäfer (49 years old), currently head of the Material Protection Products Business Unit, will take over as head of the Saltigo business unit (part of the Consumer Protection Business Unit).
Bettina Blottko (46 years old), currently head of the liquid purification products business unit, will take over as head of the material protection products business unit.
Michael Rockel (44 years old), representative for China business, will take over the management of the Liquid Purification Products business unit.
Michael Zobel (54 years old), currently head of the Saltigo business unit, will take over as head of the Flavors and Fragrances business unit. Holger Hupeler, currently head of the Flavors and Fragrances business unit, will take over as head of the group's purchasing and logistics department.
LANXESS CEO Matthias Zachert thanked all those involved for their work so far and wished them all the best in their new roles.
Zuckert said: “I would like to thank everyone involved for their work to date and wish them every success in their new mission. LANXESS is taking all necessary and possible measures to emerge from the current weak phase in the industry. In addition to cost streamlining and structural improvements through our FORWARD! action plan, this also includes personnel changes. We hope to provide new impetus for future growth.”
