Brownkind addresses aging issues in melanin-rich skin

ECHEMI 2024-03-13

Co-founded and developed in India by Abhijit Desai and Gauri Desai, Brownkind launches a skin care range for melanin-rich skin that strives to maintain the inherent youthful appearance of brown skin across all shades.

Each product is infused with the brand's Even Tone Defender, which combines the antioxidant-rich phytonutrients Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica extract), rainbow algae (Cystoseira tamariscifolia extract) and cacao (Theobroma cacao extract),each ingredient helps protect skin's even tone and helps reduce the signs of aging unique to brown skin

An independent clinical study of Brownkind's Even Tone Defender reportedly found that 85% of participants experienced more even skin tone after just six weeks of daily use.

Gauri Desai said: "Signs of aging appear differently on skin of color than on white skin. We hope to help maintain the beauty and youthful appearance of skin of color by helping to strengthen, protect and improve the skin's natural glow and even skin tone. We apply widely accepted dermatology principles on how to keep melanin-rich skin healthy and beautiful in its natural tone."

Abhijit Desai said: "In order for brown people to come together, understand their skin and love their skin, we need to create a common ground among them. Brown skin is that common point."
