Atul to launch sugarcane herbicide Sindica

Atul Ltd is launching its novel proprietary formulation Sindica, a post-emergence herbicide with excellent efficacy against major weeds on sugarcane crops.

This unique formula is a combination of sodium 2,4-D, metribuzin, and chlorsulfuron. It provides fast-acting and long-lasting protection against major weeds such as broadleaf weeds, grass weeds and sedges, without adverse effects on crops or soil.

Sindica will further strengthen Atul's position in the crop protection retail segment in India.

The company plans to use its existing production capacity to produce Sindica. Capacity will be increased in the near future as the crop protection retail business grows and Sindica and other products expand.

Sindica will be sold primarily in India, but the company is also conducting market development studies in other countries.
