Unilever injects $4 million into Indonesian TIKTOK-famous vegan cosmetics brand
Esqa, an Indonesian vegan cosmetics brand, has raised $4 million in a Series B round led by Unilever Ventures. The new investment follows a $6 million Series A round in 2022 and brings Esqa’s total capital raised to $10 million.
Founded in 2016 by Cindy Angelina and Kezia Trihatmanto, Esqa is Indonesia’s first vegan cosmetics brand, offering halal-certified cosmetics. Known for its strong presence on social media, especially TikTok, the company has grown to over 70 employees with operations in 47 local cities and multiple Southeast Asian countries.
The recent financing will support Esqa’s expansion plans, including opening new stores and strengthening its social media-driven growth strategy.
