Green Certificate Issuance Surpassed 1.2 Billion in October 2024, with Wind Power Accounting for 43%
According to data released by the National Energy Board on November 21, a total of 1.232 billion green certificates were issued by the National Energy Board in October 2024. The specific distribution is: 530 million were issued in the field of wind power, accounting for 43.01%; In the field of solar power generation, 197 million were issued, accounting for 16.02%; In the field of conventional hydropower, 392 million were issued, accounting for 31.84%; 109 million were issued in the field of biomass power generation, accounting for 8.83%; Other renewable energy generation sectors issued 3.78 million, accounting for 0.31 percent.
By the end of October 2024, 3.551 billion green certificates had been issued nationwide. Among them, 1.323 billion were issued in the field of wind power, accounting for 37.25%; In the field of solar power generation, 681 million were issued, accounting for 19.18%; In the field of conventional hydropower, 1.277 billion were issued, accounting for 35.97%; In the field of biomass power generation, 264 million were issued, accounting for 7.44%; A total of 5.67 million were issued in the field of other renewable energy generation, accounting for 0.16%.
In October 2024, a total of 25.42 million green certificates were traded across the country (of which 9.8 million were traded with green electricity); By the end of October 2024, the total number of green certificates traded across the country reached 384 million (including 195 million green certificates traded with green electricity).
