Givaudan increases encapsulation technology capacity in Mexico
To strengthen its competitive advantage in Latin America, Swiss flavors, fragrances and active cosmetic ingredients manufacturer Givaudan has inaugurated a newly expanded production facility at its Pedro Escobedo site in Mexico, strengthening the company’s encapsulation technology.
Maurizio Volpi, President of Givaudan’s Fragrance and Beauty business, said: “This expansion is a key step in our Fragrance and Beauty strategy. It successfully doubles our production capacity and now accounts for 40% of Givaudan’s global capacity in this area. This strategic growth not only reflects our commitment to meet the growing needs of our customers, but also positions us as a leader in this market.”
Andrew Stedman, Head of Givaudan’s Fragrance and Beauty business, added: “Following our investment in Singapore in 2022, our next investment in Mexico is another milestone in the development of our encapsulation technology. In addition, the facility and equipment at Pedro Escobedo are designed to reinforce our dedication to operational excellence and ensure that we maintain the highest quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards in our production processes.”
