Givaudan expands encapsulation technology production capacity in Mexico
As part of its 2025 strategy "Committed to Growth with Purpose", Givaudan announces the opening of its newly expanded production facility at the Pedro Escobedo site to increase its competitive advantage in Latin America.
The investment in the new expansion underscores Givaudan's commitment to enhance its encapsulation technology and meet the growing needs of its customers in the Latin American market and around the world.
"This expansion is a key step in our Fragrance & Beauty strategy. It successfully doubles our production capacity, which now accounts for 40% of Givaudan's global production capacity in this segment. This strategic growth not only reflects our commitment to meet the growing needs of our customers, but also positions us as a leader in this market," said Maurizio Volpi, President of Fragrance & Beauty.
“This continues our investment in the capacity of Pedro Escobedo’s delivery systems, in line with our global growth expectations. Following the investment in Singapore in 2022, this next step in Mexico is another milestone in the development of our encapsulation technology. In addition, the facilities and equipment at Pedro Escobedo are designed to reinforce our dedication to operational excellence and ensure we maintain the highest quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards during production,” said Andrew Stedman, Head of Fragrance and Beauty Operations.
Encapsulation technology is one of the pillars of Givaudan’s business. All of these investments not only support its current efforts, but also lay the foundation for future innovations.
