Azelis and AAK partner for personal care business in Korea
Azelis, a leading innovative service provider to the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industries, is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with AAK. AAK is a leading supplier of sustainably sourced, technologically advanced botanical ingredients to the beauty and personal care industries. Effective immediately, Azelis will distribute AAK’s full range of personal care emollients in Korea.
This is the first collaboration for AAK in the Asia Pacific region following the successful commercial relationship between Azelis and AAK in the food and nutrition sectors in the Americas region. AAK has over 150 years of experience in plant oils, providing customized solutions with proven performance. Its comprehensive range of emollients is renowned for its high oxidative stability and is widely used in skin care, hair care and cosmetic applications. These emollients offer a range of benefits including conditioning, sensory enhancement, skin repair and improved product stability.
AAK’s commitment to sustainability aligns with Azelis’ goal to provide innovative and sustainable solutions. By offering natural alternatives, the agreement enables Azelis to meet the growing market demand for environmentally friendly solutions, such as improving the natural index of end products, and support the Korean market’s shift towards more sustainable formulations.
Ben Sales, AAK Personal Care International Sales Manager, said: “The collaboration with Azelis in Korea marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for AAK. Azelis’ market penetration and excellent laboratory capabilities complement our products. Their commitment to customer satisfaction makes them an ideal partner and we look forward to working together to support our customers in the personal care industry.”
Sasirin Sirilerdrawee, Azelis Market Segment Director for Personal Care, Asia Pacific, added: “Azelis Korea has been actively supporting industry leaders in their transition to sustainable formulations. We are pleased to add AAK’s high-quality ingredients to our personal care portfolio, which is in line with Azelis’ goal of providing innovative and sustainable solutions.
