Azelis Acquires 100% Stake in Specialty Chemical Distributor Distona
Azelis, a leading innovative service provider for specialty chemicals and food ingredients, announced that it has acquired 100% of the shares of Distona AG (Distona), a Swiss-based industrial chemical distributor.
Distona has become a trusted partner for the Swiss CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers), AM&A (advanced materials and additives), and lubricants and metalworking fluids industries.
Headquartered in Rapperswil-Jona near Zurich, Distona will become a strategic addition to the Azelis Group due to its advantageous location and complementary operational capabilities, strengthening its access to the Swiss industrial chemicals market. Distona employs a team of six full-time professionals, including three experienced sales specialists with extensive market knowledge and a strong customer network.
Distona co-owners Daniel Altorfer and David Nipkow said: "This is an exciting new chapter for our company. Joining the Azelis Group will provide us with access to even greater expertise, innovation capabilities, and a strong product portfolio that will strengthen our own business and create even more value for our customers. We are excited to work together to bring the most innovative and sustainable solutions to our partners in the industrial chemicals market segment."
Marnik Tack, Chief Operating Officer EMEA, Azelis, said: "The merger with Distona strengthens our presence in Switzerland and aligns perfectly with our strategy of consolidating our business through targeted acquisitions. We share common values and are committed to creating new growth opportunities. We warmly welcome Distona to the Azelis team and look forward to building on this strong foundation together."
