Sika Acquires Cromar, a UK-Based Roofing System Supplier

Sika has acquired Cromar Building Products, a well-known UK-based roofing system supplier that primarily serves customers through distribution channels. The acquisition will bring significant cross-selling potential and will support Sika’s further expansion in the UK roofing industry.

Cromar is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of flat and pitched roof products, serving well-known brands in the UK. Its products and solutions range from membrane and liquid applied products to sealants and adhesives for both residential and large-scale construction applications. Cromar has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that complements Sika’s production base.

The acquisition of Cromar will increase Sika’s presence in the roofing distribution channel and strengthen its product portfolio. Over the past decade, Sika UK has achieved significant growth in its distribution business and has established a recognized position with builders in the non-roofing category.
