Zhoushan 760 Billion Yuan Project 300000 Tons PEO Installation Begins
Rongsheng New Materials (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone in its 30,000-ton/year PEO unit construction. The first steel column of the unit’s pipe rack structure, weighing 2 tons, was successfully hoisted into place using an 80-ton crane at a height of 16 meters. This marks the transition into the installation phase and lays a solid foundation for equipment, pipeline, and electrical work.
The total steel structure weight of the PEO unit is approximately 4,800 tons, with advanced laser rangefinders ensuring precision during hoisting under uncertain wind conditions. This achievement highlights the project's commitment to safety and efficiency.
The Jintang New Materials Project, located on Jintang Island in Zhoushan’s Dinghai District, represents a total investment of 760 billion yuan. Its massive scope includes several large-scale installations, such as:
- 300,000 tons/year PEO unit
- 3 million tons/year catalytic cracking unit
- 1.2 million tons/year ABS unit
- 100,000 tons/year EVA unit
- 60,000 tons/year polyurethane elastomer unit
The project also incorporates cutting-edge technology and sustainable methods, such as a 15,000-ton/year CO2 recovery unit, showcasing its emphasis on environmental responsibility.
The successful completion of this phase not only accelerates the project timeline but underscores Rongsheng’s commitment to building one of China’s most advanced chemical production hubs.
