Eastman Expands Dalian Operations With Two New Production Lines Boosting Output by Over 230 Million Yuan
On June 13, global specialty materials leader Eastman announced the official launch of two new production lines at its Dalian plant. This milestone highlights Eastman's commitment to sustainable growth and green manufacturing, while reinforcing the company's strategic investments in the Chinese market. The expansion will allow Eastman to provide higher-quality automotive film products to customers across China and the Asia-Pacific region.
The Dalian facility has also implemented state-of-the-art industrial standards, ensuring consistent quality and operational excellence across global production lines. These advancements solidify Eastman’s position as a trusted supplier in the regional and global markets.
Gulferaz Ali, Eastman’s Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region, emphasized the plant’s significance within Eastman’s global supply chain:
"Since acquiring the Dalian plant in early 2023, we have made comprehensive upgrades to its infrastructure. This has greatly enhanced our ability to address the diverse demands of the automotive film market while strengthening the resilience of our supply chain in China and the Asia-Pacific."
Founded in 1920, Eastman operates in over 100 countries as a leading global materials company. The 33.5 million RMB investment in the two new coating lines incorporates some of the most advanced technologies globally. Upon completion, these lines are expected to boost automotive film and high-performance film production capacity significantly, adding 2.3 billion RMB in annual output value. The increased capacity will enhance Eastman’s global market presence and position the Dalian plant as a key player in producing high-performance films to meet the company’s rigorous standards.
