Shenma Reports 37.5 Million Yuan Loss for H1 2025 Nylon Product Prices and Investment Income Slide
Shenma disclosed on July 14 that it expects a net loss of approximately 37.5 million yuan for the first half of 2025, marking a sharp reversal from last year’s profit. After deducting non-recurring items, the company anticipates a deeper loss of about 67.4 million yuan.
The main reasons for the earnings downturn include declines in prices for core products such as industrial yarn, tire cord fabric, nylon 66 and nylon 6 chips, driven by weaker market demand. Additionally, investment income from associates has also fallen compared to the same period last year.
The company’s performance alert highlights ongoing industry challenges, as price pressure and lower returns from investments weigh on profitability.
