China Energy Group Appoints Xu Xinfu as Board Director and Deputy Party Secretary Ranks 84th in Fortune Global 500
On July 28, China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) announced Xu Xinfu’s appointment as Board Director and Deputy Party Secretary, removing him from the Deputy General Manager position. The decision was made by the Central Organization Department and will follow all relevant legal and procedural requirements.
Xu Xinfu brings extensive experience from his tenure at China National Petroleum Corporation, where he held key roles including General Manager of the Materials and Equipment Department, Board Secretary, and Office Director.
Since May 2023, Xu served as a Party Leadership Group member and Deputy GM at China Energy. The company, formed in 2017 by merging China Guodian Corporation and Shenhua Group, is a major state-owned energy conglomerate, ranking 84th in the 2024 Fortune Global 500.
