Yesterday, the Chinese phenol market saw a slight increase. On the 19th, Sinopec's listed price in East China was 6750 CNY/ton, and Sinopec's listed price in North China for phenol was 6800 CNY/ton. The operating rate of phenol and acetone enterprises remained at 75%, with enterprise profits still in negative territory, making it difficult to change the loss situation. Currently, the pressure on spot supply is not high, and traders have little intention of offering discounts, showing a clear preference for higher prices. Downstream demand is following, but trading volume is average. It is expected that the short-term supply support will remain, and today's Chinese phenol market will remain firm or may see a slight increase. Attention should be paid to the replenishment of domestic trade shipments.
