November 7th, according to news:
November Phthalic Anhydride Prices Fluctuate and Decline in China
According to the commodity market analysis system, as of November 7, the price of o-xylene phthalic anhydride in China was 5926.67 CNY/ton, a slight decrease from the price of 5950 CNY/ton on November 1, with a price decrease of 0.39%. The downward trend of phthalic anhydride continues; in November, the price of phthalic anhydride has slightly decreased with fluctuations. The price of ortho-xylene has also fluctuated and decreased, leading to a reduction in costs. The operating rate of phthalic anhydride enterprises remains stable, and the supply of phthalic anhydride is sufficient. The operating load of downstream DOP enterprises has slightly increased, and the demand for phthalic anhydride still exists. With the decrease in cost and the support of demand, the price of phthalic anhydride in November has shown a fluctuating downward trend.
November Phthalic Anhydride Costs Decrease in China
On November 7, Sinopec's ortho-xylene quote was 5900 CNY/ton, a decrease of 200 CNY/ton from the price of 6100 CNY/ton on November 1, a price decrease of 3.28%. The decline in ortho-xylene prices has led to a reduction in phthalic anhydride production costs. The operating load of phthalic anhydride equipment has slightly increased, and the supply of phthalic anhydride is abundant. With the decrease in costs, the pressure for phthalic anhydride prices to fall has intensified.
Demand Side: DOP Prices Fluctuate and Rise
According to the commodity market analysis system, as of November 7th, the DOP price was 7,025.83 CNY/ton, a slight increase from 7,009.16 CNY/ton on November 1st, with a price increase of 0.24%. In November, the operating load of DOP plasticizer enterprises in China slightly increased, leading to an increase in DOP production. The demand for phthalic anhydride remains supported, and the downward pressure on phthalic anhydride has weakened.
Future Market Forecast
Phthalic anhydride product data analysts believe that in terms of demand, the operating load of DOP equipment in plasticizer enterprises in China has slightly increased, and the output of plasticizers has also increased, providing continued support for phthalic anhydride demand. In terms of costs, the price of ortho-xylene has fallen, leading to a decrease in raw material prices and a reduction in the cost of phthalic anhydride. Looking ahead, with the cost of phthalic anhydride decreasing and demand support still present, the price of phthalic anhydride is expected to fluctuate downward.
