Customized production of defoaming and thickening agent by SCIC
Recently, Sinopec Süd-Chem Research Institute Co., Ltd. has produced waste alkali defoaming and thickening agent for petrochemical enterprises, which can help them achieve energy saving and consumption reduction.
The process of cyclohexane oxidation to produce Cyclohexanone will produce organic waste alkali solution with solid content of 18%-30%, which cannot be discharged directly and is difficult to be treated by biochemical method. Industry generally adopts the method of evaporation and concentration before incineration to deal with it. The use of defoaming and thickening agent in the concentration process can overcome the shortcomings of scaling and vapor entrainment, improve the operation of the waste alkali evaporation and concentration system, improve the evaporation capacity of the waste alkali heat exchanger, and extend the continuous operation time by more than 2 times.
The waste alkali defoaming and thickening agent developed by SCIC has been used for many years in the cyclohexanone plant of SCIC, which has played a role in energy saving and consumption reduction for cyclohexanone production. After the technical staff learned that the waste alkali defoaming and thickening agent was also needed in the cyclohexanone plant of Baling Petrochemical, they developed a special product for Baling Petrochemical. The use of waste alkali defoamer and Thickener in Baling Petrochemical is different from that of Süd-Chemie, so the researchers overcame the difficulties of different use conditions and working conditions and developed a new product, which was applied in Baling Petrochemical plant in April this year and followed up the trial situation. After the trial of defoamer and thickener in Baring Petrochemical, the waste alkali level of the plant dropped significantly and the thickening effect was remarkable. The two sides signed a procurement framework agreement in August and completed the order of EPIC, and the first batch of defoamer and thickener was sent to Baring Petrochemical in early September for use.
