Applications of Stevia Extract Natural Raw Materials
Stevia Extract also called Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Hemsl, Stevioside, which is extracted by soaking the dried leaves of stevia in water, filtering to separate the liquid from the leaves and stems, and further purifying it with water or food-grade alcohol - a completely traditional plant extraction method.
The result is stevioside, an all-natural and extremely sweet sweet sweetening agent that does not affect blood sugar levels.
Applications
Stevia extract does not contain any calories and is purely natural.
Studies have shown that stevia extract does not affect blood sugar levels or interfere with insulin. Stevia extract does not contain any calories, which gives diabetics more flexibility in budgeting their total caloric intake and helps with weight management.
Regardless of how stevia extract is consumed, it has no effect on the glycemic index GI. Stevia extract can also be used in a variety of foods and beverages, and individual uses and levels of use may vary by country. When stevia extract is used in combination with other sweeteners, there is a synergistic effect.
The main export markets of stevia extract in China include: Malaysia, Mexico, the United States, Japan and Hong Kong, China. In recent years, Malaysia has become the main export market of stevia extract in China, with the export share accounting for more than 60%.
However, Malaysia is not the final consumer market of stevia extract, it is only a transit base, and our stevia extract is distributed to all over the world through Stevia in Malaysia.
Due to the strong global market demand, coupled with the release of stevia extracts from various countries and regional markets, the export of stevia extracts in China will continue to grow strongly in recent years, and the stevia extract industry is becoming more and more concentrated, and the exports of several major production (foreign) enterprises will influence the trend of the whole industry.
At the same time, more and more domestic enterprises start to go to the international market and gradually occupy a certain market share. It is believed that the future stevia extract industry will show a booming trend.
The average diameter of the inhibition circles of Stevia rebaudiana extract against E. coli, S. aureus and B. subtilis were 5.85, 3.42 and 7.74 mm, respectively. Stevia rebaudiana extract inhibited E. coli, staphylococcus aureus and bacillus subtilis significantly.
Unlike other sugar substitutes, Stevia Extract Rebaudioside A 97 is derived from a plant. It is safe to consume. It’s one of eight low and no-calorie sweeteners permitted by the FDA for use in the US food supply.
All eight have been rigorously tested and reviewed. Leading global health authorities such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), FAO/WHO Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) and Health Canada have found low and no-calorie sweeteners to be safe.
Stevia leaf extracts have been listed as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA for use in foods and beverages since 2008.
