Swiss perfume material supplier acquired Vietnam natural raw materials company

Switzerland perfume material supplier Givaudan (Chiverton) group announced the acquisition of Vietnam natural raw materials company Golden Frog. The two sides have signed an agreement and the details of the transaction have not yet been disclosed.
Givaudan will use its own capital to fund the transaction, which is expected to be completed in the second half of 2019. Golden Frog is expected to generate sales growth of 10 million Swiss francs (8.8 million) for Givaudan in the next fiscal year. Givaudan's total sales revenue last year was 5.5 billion Swiss francs.
Givaudan is optimistic about the huge potential of Southeast Asian market. The company believes that the acquisition will help Givaudan expand its natural raw material market in Vietnam. Monila Kothari, Director of Regional Trade in Asia and the Pacific of Givaudan, said: "Vietnam has a population of more than 97 million and is one of Givaudan's important markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Golden Frog has a natural and sustainable resource advantage in Vietnam, which will help Givaudan consolidate its leadership in Vietnam and achieve win-win results for consumers, employees, local industries and ASEAN.
Golden Frog is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, with 156 employees mainly for the Southeast Asian market. Golden Frog mainly produces natural raw materials, extracts and essential oils for the food and beverage industry. Products include natural herbs, spices, fruit and vegetable extracts and essential oils from Vietnam.
