Shanghai Pharmaceutical Bureau: 7 batches of drug don't meet the requirements

Pharmaceutical Network, June 12 - June 10, the Shanghai Drug Administration issued the 5th Announcement of Drug Quality Sampling and Inspection in 2019 (hereinafter referred to as "Announcement"), announcing seven batches of unqualified drugs. It is shown that in order to strengthen the quality supervision and management of drugs, standardize market order, and ensure the quality and safety of listed drugs and pharmaceutical packaging products, Shanghai Drug Administration organized relevant units to carry out quality spot checks on drug production, marketing and use units in Shanghai. Seven batches of drugs were not qualified. Six of the unqualified drugs are Chinese herbal pieces.

For products that fail to meet the requirements of sampling inspection, the relevant regulatory authorities have taken control measures and investigated and dealt with according to law, requiring the enterprises or units involved to take control measures such as suspension of sales, use or recall according to the level of risk. Supervise relevant enterprises or units to find out the causes, formulate and implement corrective measures to eliminate potential risks. The Shanghai Drug Administration will organize follow-up spot checks for non-conforming products and corresponding enterprises.
