PPG Executive Vice President Rebecca Liebert Elected to the National Academy of Engineering
PPG recently announced that Rebecca Liebert, PPG Executive Vice President, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE).
Rebecca Liebert was selected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in recognition of her "leadership in developing and implementing innovative initiatives to strengthen U.S. manufacturing. She is one of 111 U.S. members and 22 international members of the NAE Class of 2022. The new appointments bring NAE's total U.S. membership to 2,338 and its total international membership to 310.

"This recognition is further evidence of Rebecca Liebert's proven expertise and strong leadership skills. She also serves as an executive mentor to many business leaders within the company."

Rebecca Liebert has been with PPG since 2018. She has led a team that has developed an impressive portfolio of technology-advantaged solutions that have contributed to PPG's global success. She has also spearheaded a broad initiative to reduce production complexity and improve PPG's operational efficiency using technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce color matching time, champion new ways of working, and accelerate time to market for new products.
Rebecca Liebert holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky, a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. in 2021, she was named one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry by Automotive News.
