The export volume of crayfish increased 57.9% in the first half of the year

In midsummer, a large number of small lobsters on the market not only make domestic diners eat fast, but also fragrant in Japan. According to the statistics of Jiaxing Customs, the crayfish produced in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, has been exported to Japan for 15 consecutive years. From January to June this year, the total export volume of crayfish in Jiaxing was 36 tons, with a value of over 4.87 million yuan. The quantity and value of crayfish increased by 57.9% and 48.0% respectively. Journalist learned that Jiaxing's only enterprise exporting crayfish is also the only one in Hangzhou Customs jurisdiction. In recent years, it has maintained a good performance of exporting crayfish. Although the cost of export products is rising due to the increase of costs and shortage of funds, the export situation of the enterprise is still encouraging by adjusting the process of products and strengthening the control of key points in raw material procurement.
According to the person in charge of Jiaxing Customs, all the crayfish meat exported from Jiaxing originated from wild crayfish, and crayfish are very selective about their growing environment. Because of the water quality, the production of crayfish in Jiaxing was once reduced. However, with the vigorous promotion of the five-water co-management activities in recent years, the number of wild crayfish is gradually recovering after the improvement of water quality. Jiaxing Customs has also taken a number of measures to ensure the quality and safety of export crayfish meat in order to let crayfish "jump" to foreign tables smoothly. For example, in the early stage, enterprises were assisted to upgrade the top facilities of crayfish meat finishing workshop and shelling workshop, effectively eliminating the risk of condensate pollution; guiding enterprises to change workshop lighting into non-destructive and energy-saving and safe LED light source and increase the number to ensure that the light intensity of production workshop meets the requirements.
At the same time, through multi-channel collection of the latest foreign technical trade measures, analysis and judgment, information circulars, one-to-one services and other forms to strengthen the export of crayfish meat enterprise services, guide enterprises to understand foreign technical regulations and standards, actively carry out control and prevention of key points of export products, and enhance products.
