BASF Yangtze Phase 2.8 Expansion Project Covers These New Expansion Projects

On April 21, the 2022 Nanjing major investment project and the central enterprise regional headquarters project signing event was held. On the scene of the sub-venue, 9 projects in Jiangbei New District were signed, with a total investment of 36.63 billion yuan, including the 2.8th phase of the Yangtze-BASF integration project.
The following are the main contents of the 2.8 phase of the Yangtze-BASF integration project:

Project Name: Yangzi Petrochemical-BASF Co., Ltd. Integration Phase 2.8 Expansion Project

Construction site: Nanjing Jiangbei New Materials Science and Technology Park Yangzi Petrochemical-BASF Co., Ltd. existing factory

Construction Type: Expansion

Total investment: 2,925.05 million yuan, of which environmental protection investment is about 54.45 million yuan, accounting for about 1.86% of the total investment

Land area: about 59,311 square meters, building area of about 4,060 square meters

Project Overview:

The main construction contents of this expansion include: expansion of existing ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol (EO/EG) unit PEO unit, new propionic acid 3 unit (PA3), propionaldehyde 2 unit (PALD2), ethanolamine 2 unit (EOA2) ), ethylene amine 2 unit (EEA2) and tert-butyl acrylate unit (TBA1) and other 5 sets of production units; supporting public works facilities mainly include: new 8# circulating water station (9000m3/h), 3 units of substations and cabinets room, 3 device tank farms, 1 central loading and unloading station, logistics office, rebuild B900 torches, upgrade high-pressure fire water system, rebuild existing substation, control room, pipe gallery, storage and transportation system and other related supporting public and auxiliary facilities ; Other public works and auxiliary works rely on the existing plant area.

In addition, the company has built and under construction projects as follows, including 740,000 tons/year of ethylene, 305,000 tons/year of butanol, 160,000 tons/year of acrylic acid, 200,000 tons/year of butyl acrylate, 20/20 10,000 tons/year LDPE/EVA, etc.
