On April 20, the construction of Longjiang Chemical's bisphenol A project with an annual output of 200,000 tons started, which marks the key step in the construction of Longjiang Chemical's propylene-phenol/acetone-bisphenol A-polycarbonate industry chain integration project pace. This project is also one of Longjiang Chemical's polycarbonate joint projects.

The project plans to invest 1.362 billion yuan and adopts the world-class technology of BADGER. It is planned to be delivered in July 2023 and put into production in October 2023.

From the perspective of the industrial chain, bisphenol A is in the middle of the industrial chain. The construction of this project can not only digest part of the phenol and acetone produced in the upstream, but also extend downstream to PC and epoxy resin, forming the advantages of upstream and downstream integration and enhancing the overall project. Competitiveness;

From the perspective of supply, my country is highly dependent on the import of bisphenol A, and its production capacity has not yet met the demand. In addition, the Longjiang Chemical Bisphenol A project will become the leading force in the production capacity of bisphenol A in Northeast China. After the project is put into operation, Longjiang Chemical will become the Regional leader in bisphenol A industry;

From the demand side, the market demand for polycarbonate and epoxy resin downstream of bisphenol A will maintain a strong growth momentum with the development of wind power, automobile, electronics and other industries, which will drive the growth of bisphenol A demand and form a profit for Longjiang Chemical. Longjiang Chemical Polycarbonate Joint Project

In December 2020, Heilongjiang New Industry Investment Group Longjiang Chemical Co., Ltd. was inaugurated in Daqing City, marking the entry into the substantive operation stage of the polycarbonate joint project with a total investment of 6 billion yuan.

The polycarbonate joint project is located in Linyuan Park, High-tech Zone. Using propylene increased by Daqing Petrochemical Company as raw material, a whole industrial chain of propylene-phenol/acetone-bisphenol A-polycarbonate will be built. 217,000 tons of phenol, 134,000 tons of acetone, 210,000 tons of bisphenol A, and 240,000 tons of polycarbonate.

The first phase of the project plans to invest 3 billion yuan, including the construction of 3 sets of 350,000 tons/year phenol acetone, 200,000 tons/year bisphenol A, and 200,000 tons/year pure benzene. The annual sales revenue is expected to be 4 billion yuan, profits and taxes 1.5 billion yuan;

The second phase of the project plans to invest 3 billion yuan to build a 260,000-ton/year polycarbonate project. After reaching production, it is expected to achieve sales revenue of 4 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 1.3 billion yuan.

On February 28, 2022, the pile foundation project of the 350,000-ton/year phenol acetone project of the polycarbonate joint project officially started construction.
