Planning for the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in Chengdu

The International Hydrogen Energy Commission predicts that by 2050, hydrogen energy and hydrogen technology will generate a global market of more than $2.5 trillion, providing employment opportunities for more than 30 million people. On August 1, the reporter learned from the office of the Leading Group of Hydrogen Energy and New Energy Automobile Industry Promotion in Chengdu that the recently published "Chengdu Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Plan (2019-2023)" proposed that by 2023, Chengdu Hydrogen Energy Industry will strive to achieve more than 50 billion yuan in revenue from its main business and build a well-known high hydrogen energy industry in China. End equipment manufacturing base. At present, Chengdu has gathered more than 50 enterprises and hospitals in the hydrogen energy industry chain, covering the main links of hydrogen preparation, storage, transportation, filling and testing, fuel cell and vehicle (machine) R&D and manufacturing. Next, Chengdu will vigorously develop the integration of hydrogen energy, key components and systems of fuel cells, develop hydrogen supply equipment in an orderly manner, and promote the chain development and cluster development of the hydrogen energy industry with the traction of fuel cell vehicles, motor vehicles, trams and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The plan clearly states that Chengdu will focus on the key technologies such as fuel cell stack and power system, hydrogen storage and transportation and filling. By 2023, the bulk power density of proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack will reach 3.5 kW/l, the cold start temperature will be below -30 C, the service life of vehicle fuel cell system will reach the forefront level in China, and the high-pressure hydrogen storage and injection pressure on vehicle will reach 70 MPa. Create the core technological innovation highland of hydrogen energy industry in the forefront of the country. In terms of application and promotion, by 2023, Chengdu will strive to popularize and apply more than 2000 fuel cell vehicles in bus, logistics vehicle, sanitation vehicle, taxi, official vehicle, shared vehicle and other fields; build two fuel cell tram demonstration lines with a total length of more than 30 kilometers; and build fuel cell demonstration lines with a total length of more than 30 kilometers; Demonstration and application are carried out in the fields of machinery, distributed energy, ships and various power sources; more than 30 hydrogenation stations covering the whole area of Chengdu are built; and the concept of "hydrogen life" is integrated into the public life. According to the Planning, Chengdu will take Chengdu Plain as the center, construct passenger transport and intercity logistics hydrogen energy transportation system, prepare Chengdu-Mianyang and Chengdu-Ya'an-Xichang-Panzhihua intercity hydrogen energy lines, and gradually form a large-scale intercity hydrogen energy transportation network. In the process of developing hydrogen energy, Chengdu will promote the formation of cross-regional industrial synergies, strengthen cooperation with Liangshan, Aba, Ganzi, Ya'an, Leshan, Yibin and Luzhou in hydrogen production by surplus hydropower and hydrogen absorption by industrial by-products, and strengthen the application of vanadium and titanium mineral resources in the field of hydrogen energy materials with Panzhihua and Xichang. Jointly with Mianyang to carry out transformation and cooperation of major scientific and technological achievements of hydrogen energy in various fields; to carry out demonstration operation of inter-city fuel cell buses and logistics vehicles with Deyang, Mianyang and Meishan; to promote the construction of hydrogen energy economic demonstration zones in Chengdu and Chongqing; and to cooperate with technology development and enterprises in Yangtze River Delta, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Dawan areas, etc. Benign interaction is formed in platform sharing and personnel training.
In terms of industrial layout, Chengdu will plan to build hydrogen energy industrial functional zones in nine regions, namely Longquanyi District (Chengdu Jingkai District), Pidu District, Xinjin County, Xindu District, High-tech District (West District), Pengzhou City, Shuangliu District, Jintang County and Qionglai City, to form "five gardens, one city and one capital" (including five professional manufacturing industrial parks). A new layout of the whole hydrogen energy industry chain is proposed, including a new hydrogen industry city and a green hydrogen capital.
