In the first half of this year, Shanxi Railway Coal Export Sales fell 4.4%

According to the latest data, Shanxi Province exported 25.22 million tons of railway coal in June, down 9.7% year on year. Among them, 24.372 million tons of coal were exported from state-owned key mines, down by 2.9% compared with the same period last year, while 847,000 tons were exported from local groups, down by 70.1% compared with the same period last year. In the first half of the year, the export of railway coal in Shanxi Province totaled 14,503.8 million tons, down 4.4% from the same period last year. Among them, the state-owned key mines export 13,69.39 million tons of coal, an increase of 0.2% over the same period of last year; the local groups export 8.112 million tons of coal, a decrease of 46% over the same period of last year. Affected by many factors, such as environmental protection and weak downstream demand, Shanxi Railway Coal Export, as an important coal base, declined further in June, with significant decreases in local groups compared with the same period last year. In June, coal sales from Shanxi Railway to the power industry outside Shanxi Province dropped by 8.4% compared with the same period last year, and in the first half of the year, a total of 97.031 million tons fell by 4.4% compared with the same period last year. In June, the sales of coal transported by railway to metallurgical industry outside the province dropped by 11.8% compared with the same period last year, while in the first half, the total volume of coal transported to metallurgical industry outside the province was 18.988 million tons, down by 0.8% compared with the same period last year. In June, the trend of power coal market in Shanxi Province has been differentiated. Affected by the downstream demand slip, most coal mines have poor sales, increased inventories and reduced prices. The supply of some large group mines is on the tight side and prices have risen slightly. As for coking coal, the purchase rhythm of raw coal for coking enterprises has slowed down, and the price pressure of coking coal has dropped obviously. From the point of view of sub-region, the top five coal railway export sales in Shanxi Province in June were Hebei, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai, with a total sales of 17.14 million tons, a decrease of 3.2% annually. Coal sales to these five provinces and cities account for 68% of Shanxi's total sales.
