Report: China's service robot market is expected to reach 2.2bn US dollars

The World Robotics Congress 2019 concluded in Beijing on May 25. The "China Robot Industry Development Report (2019)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") released at the meeting shows that the market demand potential of Chinese robots is huge. The primary goal of the industrial field is to break through the key core technology of robots, while the level of intelligence in the service field is rapidly improving and running with the international leading level.
At present, the global robot market continues to expand, the growth rate of industrial robot market has fallen back, and the growth rate of service and special robots is stable. The report shows that the global sales of industrial robots have been growing steadily. At present, China's industrial robots market has maintained a good development, accounting for about one third of the global market share, and is the world's largest industrial robots application market. In 2019, China's industrial robot market is expected to reach 5.73 billion US dollars, and by 2021, it is expected to exceed 7 billion US dollars. The report points out that at present, the main goal of industrial robot research and development in China is to break through the key core technology of robots. With the concerted efforts of government, industry, education and research, the localization of controllers has been preliminarily realized. According to the report, China has taken breaking through the key core technology of robots as an important strategy for the development of science and technology. Chinese manufacturers have overcome some of the difficulties in the field of reducer, servo control, servo motor and other key core components, and the trend of localization of core components has gradually emerged. At the same time, the proportion of domestic industrial robots in total market sales has steadily increased, and the use of domestic controllers and other core components in domestic industrial robots has further increased.
"Global Service Robots usher in the golden age of development." The report shows that in China, with the acceleration of population aging and the continuing strong demand for medical treatment and education, there is a huge market potential and development space for service robots in China.
In 2019, the scale of China's service robot market is expected to reach 2.2 billion US dollars, an increase of about 33.1% over the same period of last year, which is higher than that of the global service robot market. The report points out that the intelligence level of service robots in China has been rapidly improved, and the related technology of intelligence can be comparable to that in Europe and America, and basically run side by side with the leading international level. The report shows that China's technological innovation in the field of artificial intelligence is accelerating, and the number of patent applications is in the same order of magnitude as the United States. At the same time, new application scenarios and application modes promote the rapid development of industry.
In recent years, the global performance of special robots has been continuously improved, and the emerging market is constantly emerging. The report points out that China's special robots market has maintained rapid development, and various types of products are constantly emerging. In response to earthquakes, floods and extreme weather, as well as mine disasters, fires, security and other public safety incidents, there is a prominent demand for special robots.
In 2019, the market size of Chinese special robots is expected to reach 750 million US dollars, with a growth rate of 17.7%, which is higher than the global level. By 2021, the market demand is expected to exceed 1.1 billion US dollars. The report points out that at present, Chinese special robots mainly rely on the support of the state, and their research strength can basically reach the international advanced level.
According to the report, under the guidance of policy, the technology level of Chinese special robots has been continuously improved, some key core technologies have made breakthroughs, and large-scale products have been formed in the fields of UAVs and underwater robots. According to the report, industrial upgrading is the only way for the development of China's robotics industry. With the vigorous development of China's robotics industry, the mode of cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises has gradually changed from joint venture to multi-field cooperation. Among them, Chinese enterprises actively seek overseas cooperation and jointly expand the international market.
