Honeywell's New Technology Helps Yuanjin New Materials
Recently, Honeywell announced that the 750,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant of Zhejiang Yuanjin New Materials Co., Ltd. will use Honeywell UOP's new-generation Oleflex propane dehydrogenation technology.
Honeywell UOP will provide authorization, process design packages, patented equipment, on-site operator training, start-up and continuous operation technical services, as well as key catalysts and adsorbents for the project, helping Yuanjin New Materials achieve rapid construction and development of propylene plants. Goals to start, accelerate return on investment, and reduce carbon emissions.
According to reports, Zhejiang Yuanjin New Materials Co., Ltd.'s alkane resource comprehensive utilization integration project has a planned total investment of 20.8 billion yuan. It is the largest single-invested industrial project in Shaoxing. After completion, it will boost Shangyu's high-quality manufacturing industry in the province. We are at the forefront in the construction of development demonstration zones. The integrated utilization of alkane resources project is located in Shangyu Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hangzhou Bay, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. Construction will start at the end of December 2020 with a total investment of 20.8 billion yuan. The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase of the project plans to invest 11 billion yuan and will be completed in July 2023 put into production. The planned investment of the second phase project is 9.8 billion yuan. After the project is fully put into production, the sales revenue is expected to reach 34 billion yuan. The project plans to build two 750,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation to propylene units, 3 polypropylene units with a total capacity of 1.25 million tons/year, a 400,000-ton/year hydrogen peroxide unit, and a 300,000-ton/year direct oxidation epoxy resin unit. The propane plant also has a hydrogen by-product of 80,000 tons/year.
Xiang Lei, vice president and general manager of Honeywell UOP China, said: "The application of the new generation of Oleflex propane dehydrogenation technology in the new propane dehydrogenation unit project of Yuanjin New Materials reflects the trust and confidence of partners in Honeywell technology. Recognition. We are honored to cooperate with Yuanjin New Materials to help achieve the successful commissioning and stable operation of the propane dehydrogenation unit, meet the growing demand for high-quality propylene in the Chinese market, and support the production of industrial and consumer products."
