Added value of coal industry above Designated Size in Shanxi increased by 5.8%
According to the preliminary calculation, the Gross Regional Product of Shanxi Province in the first three quarters was 1268.84 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6% over the same period of the previous year, 0.4 percentage points higher than the national average, 0.3 percentage points higher than the annual target, and remained in a reasonable range of more than 6% for 11 consecutive quarters since 2017. Among them, the added value of the primary industry is 51.9 billion yuan, an increase of 0.7%; the added value of the secondary industry is 537.76 billion yuan, an increase of 6.0%; the added value of the tertiary industry is 679.18 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%. The industry grew rapidly. In the first three quarters, the added value of industries above Designated Size in the whole province increased by 6.0%, exceeding 0.4 percentage points nationwide. In terms of three categories, the added value of mining industry increased by 6.0%, of which coal industry increased by 5.8%; manufacturing industry increased by 6.3%, of which equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.3%; iron and steel industry increased by 7.5%; building materials industry increased by 12.5%; food industry increased by 14.7%; power, heat, gas and aquatic products and supply industry increased by 5.2%, of which power industry increased by 4.7%. Investment grew steadily. In the first three quarters, the province's fixed asset investment increased by 6.2%, 0.8 percentage points faster than the national level. By industry, investment in the primary industry decreased by 2.4%, 27.3% lower than that in the first half of the year; investment in the secondary industry decreased by 1.8%; and investment in the tertiary industry increased by 12.2%.
