Tongue cancer
Cancer is the most common malignant tumor in the oral and maxillofacial region, and squamous cell carcinoma is the most common cancer. In my country, oral and maxillofacial squamous cell carcinoma mostly occurs between the ages of 40 and 60, and is more common in men than in women. Gingival cancer, tongue cancer, cheek cancer, palate cancer and maxillary sinus cancer are common. Oral cancer accounts for 1.45-5.6% of all malignant tumors in the north of the Yangtze River in my country, and 1.75-5.18% in the south of the Yangtze River. In India, it accounts for more than 40% of all malignant tumors. Tongue cancer is a common malignant tumor in the oral and maxillofacial region, and is more common in men than in women. Most of them are squamous cell carcinomas, especially in the front 2/3 of the tongue. Adenocarcinoma is relatively rare and is mostly located at the root of the tongue; lymphoepithelial carcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma may also occur at the root of the tongue.
