Parvovirus B19 is a new virus that has been gradually recognized by people in recent years. It was first identified by Yvonne Cossart et al. in 1975 in the serum labeled with B19 HBsAg control, and it was found to be an antigen different from HBsAg. After electron microscopy, a spherical particle and a typical viral enzyme shell were found in the serum containing this antigen. This new virus was first found in the serum of healthy blood donors. Its antigen had a suspension density of 1.36 to 1.40 during cesium chloride gradient electrophoresis, which is a typical parvovirus enzyme. In 1985, they studied the pathogenicity of the virus. It has been confirmed that parvovirus B19 can cause rheumatism.
