Reduce systemic vascular resistance to produce a hypotensive effect; 5. Reduce afterload, inhibit myocardial contraction, and improve left ventricular diastolic function; 6. Animal experiments show that it has local anesthetic effects, but the human effects and dosage are still unclear; 7. Verapamil is not carcinogenic or mutagenic.
