Compound Reserpine Tablets

Function and Efficacy

Reserpine is an adrenergic nerve inhibitor that can prevent the storage of mediators in adrenergic nerve endings and deplete the mediators with pressor effects in the vesicles. Hydralazine sulfate is a vasodilator that can relax arteriolar smooth muscle and reduce peripheral resistance. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic and antihypertensive drug. The combined use of the three drugs has a significant synergistic effect. It promotes blood pressure and improves the efficacy, thereby reducing the dosage and adverse reactions of each drug. At the same time, hydrochlorothiazide can increase the antihypertensive effect of reserpine and hydralazine sulfate; it can also reduce their side effects of water and sodium retention.
