Function and Efficacy

The ferrous sulfate in this product is an iron supplement. Iron is a component of hemoglobin in red blood cells. Iron deficiency can cause a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin synthesized by red blood cells, resulting in iron deficiency anemia. Vitamin C can not only promote iron absorption, but also participate in important physiological functions of the human body. B vitamins are components of various enzymes in the body and participate in various metabolisms.

Ingredients

This product is a compound preparation. Each tablet contains 525 mg of ferrous sulfate, 500 mg of vitamin C, 30 mg of niacinamide, 10 mg of calcium pantothenate, 6 mg of vitamin B1, 6 mg of vitamin B2, 5 mg of vitamin B6, and 50 micrograms of vitamin B12.

Indication

Used for iron deficiency anemia of known cause.

Usage and Dosage

Take orally after meals. Adults, 1 tablet at a time, once a day.

Adverse Reactions

1. Nausea, vomiting, stomach or abdominal discomfort or pain may occur. 2. It may reduce bowel movements, cause constipation and black stools.

Precautions

1. Patients with severe liver and kidney damage, especially those with untreated urinary tract infection, are contraindicated. 2. Patients with excessive iron load, hemochromatosis or hemosiderosis are contraindicated. 3. Patients with non-iron deficiency anemia (such as thalassemia) are contraindicated.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Not clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is most appropriate to supplement iron during pregnancy in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, because iron intake decreases and iron requirements increase during this period. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution.

Drug Interactions

1 Taking vitamin C with this product is beneficial for absorption. 2 Taking this product with phosphates, tetracyclines and tannic acid can hinder the absorption of iron. 3 This product can reduce the absorption of levodopa, carbidopa, methyldopa and quinolone drugs. 4 If used with other drugs at the same time, drug interactions may occur.
