After oral administration, this product is hydrolyzed into sulbactam and ampicillin by enterolactone. Ampicillin is the bactericidal component of this product, which acts on the active reproduction stage of cells and inhibits the biosynthesis of cell wall mucopeptides to kill bacteria. Sulbactam itself has a weak inhibitory effect on bacteria and is a competitive irreversible beta;-lactamase inhibitor. When used in combination with beta;-lactam antibiotics, it can achieve good synergistic effects. This product is effective against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Including: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis (including penicillin-resistant and some methicillin-resistant strains), pneumococcus, Streptococcus faecalis and other positive bacteria such as Streptococcus, negative bacteria include Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Clostridium difficile, Proteus mirabilis, etc.; anaerobic bacteria include Bacillus fragilis.

The main ingredient of this product is sultamicillin tosylate, and its chemical name is () hydroxymethyl-(2S,5R,6R)-6[(R)-2-amino-2-phenylacetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxido-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3,2,0]n-heptane-2-carboxylate, 2S,5R-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3,2,0]n-heptane-2-carboxylate.

It is suitable for the treatment of the following infections caused by sensitive bacteria: 1 Upper respiratory tract infections: sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis, etc.; 2 Lower respiratory tract infections: bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.; 3 Urinary tract infections and pyelonephritis; 4 Skin and soft tissue infections; 5 Gonorrhea.

Oral: Adults (including the elderly) and children weighing more than or equal to 30 kg usually take 375-750 mg each time, twice a day; children: those weighing less than 30 kg, take 50 mg/kg of body weight twice a day. Whether adults or children, the course of treatment is generally 5-14 days, which can be extended if necessary. For any infection caused by hemolytic streptococci, the course of treatment is at least 10 days to prevent the occurrence of acute rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis. When treating gonorrhea, a single dose of 2.25g (6 tablets) of this product can be taken orally, and 1g of probenecid can be added to prolong the serum concentration of ampicillin and sulbactam. When suspected of concurrent infection with Treponema pallidum, a dark field examination should be performed before using this product, and a serum test should be performed at least once a month for four months.
