Oral administration: the starting dose for adults is 30 ml per day, and the maintenance dose is 10-15 ml per day.

Lactulose is not absorbed, and excessive doses can cause abdominal discomfort, flatulence, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. These are more likely to occur in the early stages of treatment.
