    Qichen Polyurethane is a manufacturer of industry-standard formulations of spray polyurethane foam systems for residential and commercial construction and retrofit projects.

    Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) is made by combining two liquid components coming from different containers,during a chemical reaction to form a foam.These two components are generally referred to as the “A” side and the “B” side.

    Open cell foam is full of cells that aren’t completely encapsulated. In other words, the cells are deliberatly left open. This makes the foam a softer, more flexible material .The liquid system is two components with A side ISO and B side POLYOL which combined during a chemical reaction to form SPF.

    Benefits and Features of Open-cell Spray Polyurethane Foam ,compared with closed cell SPF :

    Application

    Open cell PU spray foam is suitable for application to most construction materials including but not limited to wood, masonry, concrete, and metal.  It is mostly applied to the internal insulation of buildings where the temperature difference between outdoor and indoor is not very large. Open cell SPF is applied for sound insulation and protective materials for fragile items in transit.

    The “A” side of the system is polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (PMDI).

    The “B” side  is typically a blend of polyols, catalysts, blowing agent, flame retardant, silicone surfactant,and catalyst.

    Blended polyols are part of the chemical reaction to make the foam. MDI side serve control the creation of the foam bubbles (“cells”) in the best way, and to provide the various characteristics of the finished product.

    STEP 1
    Pour the foaming into a carton lined with film.

    STEP 2

    Fold the film inward over the liquid and place your product on top of it.

    STEP 3

    Put another layer of film on top of your product and then inject the foam.

    STEP 4

    Complete the packaging and your customer will receive the product in good condition.
