Storage conditions	Refrigerate at 2-8°C and store in an airtight and dark condition. It should be equilibrated at room temperature (20±3℃) before use, and shaken well to ensure uniformity. Ampoules should be used immediately once opened, and cannot be used as a standard material after being melted again. Strictly prevent contamination during use.
Applications	This reference material can be used as a working standard for daily analysis and testing; for Instrument calibration, analysis method confirmation and evaluation, measurement process quality control, technical arbitration and certification evaluation, etc.

Physical and chemical properties	Character description: light yellow needle crystal or crystalline powder. Melting point 213 ℃ (decomposition). Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in organic solvents. Production method: obtained by sulfonation of 8-hydroxyquinoline. The fuming sulfuric acid was cooled to below 10 ℃ under stirring, and 8-hydroxyquinoline was gradually added to keep the temperature below 15 ℃. After adding, the temperature is increased, and the reaction is stirred below 30 ℃ for 5 hours. Leave overnight. The next day, put the reaction solution into 8-10 times the amount of water (calculated by 8-hydroxyquinoline), control the temperature to 60 ℃, precipitate and crystallize, and then leave it overnight. Filtration, washing and drying at 100 ℃ to obtain 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid. 87% yield. Uses: Used as organic synthesis intermediates and analytical reagents.
