      Product Detail

    1. Thermoplastic Polymer: PVC resin is classified as a thermoplastic polymer, meaning it can be softened and molded when heated and solidified upon cooling. This property makes it highly versatile in manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion, and calendaring.

    2. Chlorinated Hydrocarbon: PVC is composed mainly of carbon, hydrogen, and chlorine atoms. The presence of chlorine atoms in its molecular structure gives PVC its unique properties, such as flame resistance, chemical resistance, and durability.

    3. Amorphous Material: PVC resin is typically amorphous, meaning it lacks a defined crystalline structure. This property contributes to its transparency (in its unplasticized form) and its ability to be easily modified with plasticizers for increased flexibility.

    4. Engineering Material: PVC resin is widely regarded as an engineering material due to its ability to meet specific performance requirements across various applications. It can be formulated with different additives and modifiers to achieve desired properties such as impact resistance, UV stability, and electrical insulation.

    5. Polymer of Vinyl Chloride Monomers: PVC resin is produced through the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomers, which are derived from the chlorination of ethylene. This polymerization process results in long chains of vinyl chloride units linked together, forming the PVC polymer chains that constitute the resin. The degree of polymerization and the arrangement of polymer chains influence the properties of the final PVC resin product.
