Laureth-2, also known as Laureth-2, is a commonly used surfactant widely used in cosmetics and personal care products. It is a compound formed by combining lauryl alcohol with polyoxyethylene ether. Lauryl alcohol is a fatty alcohol obtained primarily from natural oils such as coconut or palm oil.

Polyoxyethylene ether is a compound polymerized from ethylene glycol. Laureth-2 has good surface active properties and solubility, so it is widely used in many products.
