Chemical property

Colorless to white crystalline or crystalline powder, odorless. Relative density 2.338. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution is acidic, with pH ranging from 4.2 to 4.7 for a 2.7% solution. Stable in air. ADI 0 - 70 mg/kg (FAO/WHO, 1994).

Purpose

It is also used as a bacterial culture agent, a flavoring agent for sake brewing, and a raw material for preparing potassium pyrophosphate. In medicine, it is used for uric acidification and as a nutrient agent. It is used as a chromatographic analysis reagent and buffer, and also for the synthesis of medicine. In the food industry, it is used to manufacture baked goods, as a leavening agent, flavoring agent, fermentation aid, nutritional fortifier, yeast food, etc. It is also used as a buffer agent, chelating agent. It is used to prepare buffer solutions, to determine arsenic, antimony, phosphorus, aluminum and iron, to prepare phosphorus standard solutions, to prepare various culture media for polyploid breeding, to determine the inorganic phosphorus content in serum, to prepare bacterial serum for testing Leptospira, and to prepare culture media for preparing bacterial serum for hookworm testing, etc.
