Benzyl acrylate Usage And Synthesis

Uses	Benzyl Acrylate, is a reagent that can be used in the preparation of 2-(Phosphonomethyl)pentanedioic Acid (P353900), a selective glutamate carboxypeptidase 2 (GCP-II) inhibitor. It can also be used in the preparation of high refractive index polyacrylates.
Uses	Preparation of high refractive index polyacrylates.Benzyl acrylate is used in the preparation of heptanoic acid benzyl ester. It is used to prepare polybenzylacrylate using azobisisobutyronitrile as initiator.
General Description	Benzyl acrylate is a polymer monomer that can be used to prepare high refractive index poly(benzyl acrylate).The main products of the pyrolysis of poly(benzyl acrylate) at temperatures of 260 ~300 °C are carbon dioxide, benzyl alcohol and oligomers. Moreover, the pyrolysis of poly(benzyl acrylate) seems to follow a similar pattern to that of poly(methyl acrylate).
