Nosiheptide (Multhiomycin) is a thiopeptide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces actuosus that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and has a unique indole-side ring system and region-specific hydroxyl group on a unique macrocyclic nucleus. It has been widely used as a feed additive for animal growth.
