2-Dimethylamino-5,6-dimethyl-4-hydroxypyrimidine Use and Manufacturing
2-Dimethylamino-4-hydroxy-5, 6-dimethylpyrimidine is prepared by reacting N, N-dimethylguanidine sulfate with ethyl α-methylacetoacetate. Add 4.6g of acid binding agent, alcohol and 14g of N, N-dimethylguanidine sulfate into a 250mL three-necked flask equipped with a stirrer and a water separator, stir and react for 2h, add 21.2g of ethyl α-methylacetoacetate and solvent, Slowly increase the temperature under stirring until the reaction temperature reaches about 140°C, and keep the reaction for 2 hours. The solvent is recovered under reduced pressure. The solid is dissolved in chloroform and adjusted to pH=7. The chloroform layer is concentrated to dryness. The product is 15.7g, the content is 92.69%, and the yield is 93.43%.
2-Dimethylamino-4-hydroxy-5,6-dimethylpyrimidine is an intermediate in the synthesis of pesticide anti-aphicarb.
